After it is cooked, I love to add coconut to flavour and for taste. Really yummy, you gotta try it to know how good it is! Maybe, for nostalgic reasons as well, I remember eating this dessert when I was young and it bring back fond memories. Some people asked me if it is better to get organic beans and my answer tends to be the same. If you can afford it on a long term basis, then consider it but else the normal ones that are sold in NTUC, Sheng Siong, etc would be good enough.
Fiber is necessary for our body and one that I find many people are lacking in their modern diet with too much processed food consumed out of home. The lack of fiber result in overeating and thus cause unnecessary weight problems which lead to a host of other related problems like cardio, joint aches, diabetes, etc. The common symptom would be constipation as well. Imagine our body system cloaked with food that are undigestable and without proper "waste management" or excretion, we kept it in our body longer than necessary. Isn't that harmful?
I also found out that I could add this black power to my daily cooking of white/brown rice for the family. I intend to experiment later for dinner by adding a handful to see my family reaction. The kids are now accustomed to eating brown rice so should not be too difficult for them.
Enjoy and stay healthy!
