Recall the time when you were learning how to walk when you were a baby. At that moment, your parents, siblings on the other end - what were they doing? That's right! They were excited and cheering you to take on that first step.
You probably like many babies stumble and fall and managed to get up and try again. What do they in turn? Do they simply give up after 2-3 attempts ?
NO!!! They will keep on trying and trying, patiently encouraging you and give you a hug when you did it. Then why is it 20,30 or 40 years later when we became adults and faced with challenges, we tend to give up easily? How is it we were not able to recall this "learning to walk" experience and apply to our circumstances? Where did we learn this concept of failure from? From our education, friends and information that we take in ?
Think about it. To walk , falling is necessary. It is only when we accept falling (failure if you have to call it) , then only can we learn to walk. Similarly, in business, money making, career, relationship, it is also the same. Some falls may cause more damage and the heart take a hit. But the wound will heal, over time. And after that, we must get up and continue the journey till we get to where we want. Falling is part and parcel of walking, we can't do without it. It moulds our character to be strong, patient, resilient, etc.
Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the LORD your God will be with you wherever you go.”Joshua 1.9
